App State Mountaineers
Yosef’s mountain-sized spirit
Appalachian State’s 2007 upset of Michigan became one of college football’s most unforgettable games. The Mountaineers followed their FCS championship tradition with a 2019 Sun Belt title, giving Boone another landmark season to celebrate.
Mountaineer fans bring Appalachian pride and a strong sense of place to Kidd Brewer Stadium. The rivalry with Georgia Southern is the Sun Belt’s “Deeper Than Hate” showdown, while Coastal Carolina games add stakes among regional powers.
