Overview
Boston Red Sox
Sweet Caroline, all the way
The Red Sox’s 2004 comeback from a 3–0 deficit against the Yankees changed baseball history, then ended an 86-year championship drought with a World Series sweep. Boston added championships in 2007, 2013, and 2018, with the 2013 title celebrated in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Red Sox Nation fills Fenway Park and follows the team around the world, with “Sweet Caroline” turning late innings into a singalong. The rivalry with the Yankees is one of baseball’s most famous, and games against Baltimore and Toronto keep the AL East fiercely competitive.
