Charlotte Hornets
Buzz City, Carolina proud
Charlotte’s basketball story includes the original Hornets’ electric 1990s playoff runs and the return of the Hornets name in 2014. The team’s teal identity and high-flying stars made NBA basketball a defining part of the city’s sports life.
Buzz City fans bring Carolina pride to the arena, where teal and purple colors and the Hornets’ nest imagery make the team instantly recognizable. The rivalry with Atlanta adds Southeast stakes, while games with Miami and Washington connect the Hornets to familiar Eastern Conference opponents.
