Chicago White Sox
South Side pride, October perfection
The White Sox’s 2005 championship run was nearly flawless: Chicago went 11–1 in the postseason and swept the Astros in the World Series. The title ended an 88-year wait and gave the South Side a celebration all its own.
White Sox fans bring South Side pride to Rate Field, where the team’s black, silver, and white identity stands apart across the city. The Crosstown Classic with the Cubs is Chicago’s annual baseball rivalry, while division games against Cleveland and Detroit carry long AL Central histories.
