Ralphie runs, Colorado rises
Colorado’s 1990 national championship followed a season of dramatic wins and remains the program’s crowning achievement. The 1994 victory at Michigan and the 2001 Big 12 title added memorable chapters to a history shaped by the Rocky Mountain setting.
Buffaloes fans gather for Ralphie’s run and bring black-and-gold pride from Boulder across the state. The rivalry with Nebraska is rooted in Big Eight history, while Colorado State’s Rocky Mountain Showdown and games with Utah carry regional bragging rights.
