Overview
East Carolina Pirates
Arrrgh, East Carolina
East Carolina’s 1991 Peach Bowl and 1992 Hall of Fame Bowl victories gave the Pirates two signature postseason moments. The program’s 2013 American Athletic Conference title-game appearance and a history of memorable upsets have built pride across eastern North Carolina.
Pirate Nation brings purple-and-gold energy to Greenville and turns “Arrrgh” into a rallying cry. Rivalries with NC State and North Carolina carry statewide bragging rights, while games with Memphis and Tulane link ECU to Southern football tradition.
