Houston Cougars
Coog ’em, Houston
Houston’s 1989 team won the Heisman Trophy with quarterback Andre Ware, and the 2015 Cougars capped a 13-win season with a Peach Bowl victory over Florida State. Those achievements reflect a program known for explosive offenses and memorable upsets.
Cougar fans bring red-and-white pride to a city with a rich football culture. The rivalry with Rice is the Bayou Bucket, while games against Baylor, Texas Tech, and TCU create a strong network of Texas matchups.
