Marshall Thundering Herd Feed

Marshall won FCS national championships in 1992 and 1996 and later claimed MAC titles in 1997 and 1999. The Thundering Herd’s resilience, including the program’s return to competition after the 1970 plane crash, is central to its identity.

Herd fans bring green-and-white pride and an enduring bond to Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Rivalries with Ohio and Appalachian State carry Appalachian-region stakes, while games with Old Dominion and Georgia Southern connect Marshall to conference tradition.
