Massachusetts Minutemen
Minutemen pride, Amherst strong
UMass won the 1998 NCAA Division I-AA national championship, a landmark achievement for the program and its New England supporters. The Minutemen also reached the FCS title game in 2006, building a history of postseason competition.
Minutemen fans bring maroon-and-white pride to Amherst and connect the program to communities across Massachusetts. The rivalry with UConn is a natural New England matchup, while games with Army and Buffalo add regional stakes.
