North Texas Mean Green
Mean Green, North Texas proud
North Texas won four Sun Belt championships from 2001 through 2004, a run that established the Mean Green as a conference power. The 2002 New Orleans Bowl victory added a celebrated postseason moment for the Denton program.
Mean Green fans bring green-and-white pride across the Dallas–Fort Worth region. The rivalry with UTSA is the I-35 game, while SMU and Texas State provide nearby matchups with North Texas flavor.
