Pittsburgh Pirates
We Are Family, Pittsburgh’s anthem
Pittsburgh’s 1960 championship ended with Bill Mazeroski’s walk-off home run, one of the most iconic finishes in World Series history. The Pirates added titles in 1971 and 1979, with the “We Are Family” team turning a citywide slogan into a championship celebration.
Pirates fans bring black-and-gold pride to PNC Park, where the downtown skyline and Roberto Clemente Bridge frame one of baseball’s most distinctive views. The rivalry with Cincinnati carries Ohio Valley roots, while the Cardinals and Cubs are longtime NL Central opponents.
