Overview
Portland Trail Blazers
Rip City, forever in motion
Portland captured its only NBA championship in 1977, when Bill Walton led a team that united the city. Finals appearances in 1990 and 1992 and the 2019 Western Conference Finals run added more chapters to a proud franchise history.
Blazers fans are known for their loyalty and for turning “Rip City” into a citywide rallying cry. The rivalry with Seattle’s former SuperSonics remains part of regional basketball lore, while Denver and Utah bring Northwest Division competition.
