Overview
Sacramento Kings
Sacramento’s loudest tradition
The franchise won its NBA championship in 1951 as the Rochester Royals, and the Sacramento Kings’ 2002 Western Conference Finals run gave the city one of basketball’s most electric playoff experiences. Both chapters anchor a long and unusual franchise journey.
Kings fans fill the arena with cowbells, purple pride, and a reputation for bringing extraordinary energy. The rivalry with the Lakers carries playoff memories, while Golden State and Phoenix provide nearby Western Conference matchups.
