Sacramento State Hornets
Stingers up, Hornets
Sacramento State shared the Big Sky championship in 2021 and reached the FCS playoffs in 2022, delivering standout seasons for the Hornets. The program’s success has helped build a strong college football identity in California’s capital.
Hornet fans bring green-and-gold pride to Sacramento and rally around “Stingers Up.” The Causeway Classic with UC Davis is the local rivalry, while games with Montana and Eastern Washington connect the team to Big Sky tradition.
