Seattle Mariners
Seattle’s October breakthrough
The Mariners’ 2001 team tied the MLB record with 116 wins, and the 2022 club ended a 21-year postseason drought. Cal Raleigh’s walk-off home run to clinch the Wild Card Series gave Seattle an instant classic and another lasting postseason memory.
Mariners fans are known for their loyalty through long summers and for turning “Sea Us Rise” into a rallying cry. The rivalry with Houston adds intensity to the AL West, while the Blue Jays and Athletics provide other familiar matchups.
