Overview
Temple Owls
Fly, Owls, Philadelphia
Temple’s appearance in the inaugural 1935 Sugar Bowl is a landmark in program history, and the 2016 American Athletic Conference championship gave Philadelphia another title season. The Owls have built a distinct identity in a major college-sports city.
Temple fans bring cherry-and-white pride to North Philadelphia and represent a broad urban community. The rivalry with Penn State reflects regional history, while games with UConn and East Carolina connect the Owls to long-running eastern matchups.
