UL Monroe Warhawks
Warhawk pride, Monroe strong
UL Monroe’s 1987 NCAA Division I-AA national championship, won as Northeast Louisiana, remains the program’s defining achievement. The Warhawks have also earned bowl appearances and memorable upsets that brought Monroe into the national football conversation.
Warhawk fans bring maroon-and-gold pride to northeast Louisiana and rally around the team’s flight-themed identity. The rivalry with Louisiana is the in-state “Battle on the Bayou,” while Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech add regional stakes.
