West Virginia Mountaineers
Country Roads, Mountaineers
West Virginia’s undefeated 1988 team won the Fiesta Bowl and finished among college football’s top teams. The 2006 Sugar Bowl and 2008 Fiesta Bowl victories gave Mountaineer fans more unforgettable postseason celebrations.
Mountaineer fans bring gold-and-blue pride and sing “Country Roads” together after home victories. The Backyard Brawl with Pittsburgh is one of the sport’s fiercest rivalries, while Virginia Tech and Maryland add Appalachian and Mid-Atlantic history.
