Arkansas State stuffs Southern Miss on 4th and inches

Lyddy intercepted, through it about 10 yards over Mario Sanders head. Works like a punt I guess, ASU ball on their own 9 3RD 4:43 | Arkansas State 16, Southern Miss 7

Second straight three and out forced by Southern Miss' defense. They have good field position on their own 46 3RD 5:53 | Arkansas State 16, Southern Miss 7

Southern Miss with a nice drive coming out of the half, but it ends with a 33-yard missed FG by Wilbanks. ASU ball 3RD 12:33 | Arkansas State 16, Southern Miss 7

Southern Miss had the ball 1st and 10 from the ASU 22 at the end of half, with two timeouts. Here was the sequence: 1st and 10: -5 yard pass to Robinson 2nd and 15: Incomplete 3rd and 15 from the 27: Rush right for 1-yard *drain the clock, and call timeout with 3 second left Botched snap, and no points.

It's hard to describe how bad the football being played at Renasant stadium is, but it would certainly start with Southern Miss' special teams tonight..... So bizarre they played for the FG there with Wilbanks who has been shaky , to say the least, as of late.

The snap is terrible on the FG, and Creighton Wilbanks just has to fall on it. HALF - Arkansas State 16, Southern Miss 7 USM ball to start the second half.
