Confused about the ND 1-second debate. Great, put a second back on the clock so BYU takes a knee and we are all happy?

@bepryor · Oct 17

Steelers place WR Roman Wilson on IR, their second wide receiver headed to the list in as many weeks. Wilson will miss the next four weeks. In his place, Steelers signed RB Lee Nichols to the active roster. The team also elevated PS WRs Brandon Smith and Brandon Johnson to the active roster for tomorrow’s game

Steelers at TE Pat Freiermuth to the injury report (calf). He's questionable. DK Metcalf has been removed from the injury report.

Good news for the Steelers: WR DK Metcalf (illness) has been removed from the injury report and is good to go vs. Tampa Less-than-good news: TE Pat Freiermuth (calf) has been added to the injury report and is questionable

@bepryor · Oct 16

DeShon Elliott won’t be activated off IR in time for Sunday’s game vs. Tampa, putting him on track to make his season debut in Paris. DK Metcalf missed practice today with an illness and is questionable for Sunday — something to keep an eye on with three other receivers out. https://t.co/IFhJaRIDV9

Jalen Ramsey was also optimistic about Jamel Dean's return: "Having him back and able to hopefully play the game against his old team is already a big thing for us. We want to make sure that we on our Ps and Qs for him. "It's a big game, a big moment. I've been in games like that where you play your former team, and it's always nice to have your teammates to have your back and everybody be at full strength and good communication."

More from DB Jalen Ramsey on the Steelers' defense and their collaborative approach to working with DC Patrick Graham: "Going back to last week, and why it was frustrating is people turned it into like, 'Oh, Jalen just wants the players to do what they want to do.' -- No, it's not that. It's we want to be able to help him be successful while he's helping us be successful. "There are certain things within his defense that we do have the freedom to maybe have certain checks or calls and stuff. We want to make sure we're aligned with him. We want to make sure we're on the same page with him and his why so we can execute it because when we're all on the same page like that, we can execute the vision better. "Maybe there are certain things where we can tell him, 'Hey, we get exactly why you want to do this now. We think we can achieve that by doing it this way though.' And then it works out for the greater good. That's the big thing."

Steelers DB Jalen Ramsey further clarified last week's "disconnect" comment, and he was expansive in explaining his relationship with Patrick Graham and their share vision for the defense. "Last week I said that there was a disconnect, which I felt like I cleared it up, but if I didn't, me and my father, we have disconnects sometimes, but that's my best friend and I love him to death and he loves me and we are only after the same goal," Ramsey said. "We want success for each other and our families. And it's kind of the same when you're here. This is your family when you're here in the NFL locker room. So we all have the same goal and things like that. We just got to get on the same page sometimes. And so we've been working towards that goal." He added that having PG on the sideline is really helpful toward achieving that. "We love that. We understood why he wanted to be in the box. ... I've been with DCs that's been on the field with us and I've been with DCs who have been in the box, and we love having him on the field with us. Just even after every series, being able to communicate with him or even during timeout or breaks or stuff, being able to run over to the sideline and be able to communicate with him very directly on what maybe we're seeing, what we're thinking and what he's seeing, what he's thinking, why he's thinking it. Sometimes we can ask him the 'why' right on the spot instead of having to try to get on the phone and get that."
