Road trip to Dallas proves UVA can’t get to Charlotte, but special teams hit 40+ and 54-yard punts like a GPS outage. Offense still naps. Go Hoos 🏈 #GoHoos

Weird week, but our QB fumbled charm and we still love the vibe. Elliott talks rhythm while we chase eight-to-nine possessions like a leash on a cat. #GoHoos 🏈 #GoHoos

Beekman’s two-way deal proves Cavalier grit survives G-League chic. Wizards get defense; Beekman gets minutes, maybe a snack break throne. #GoHoos 🏀

“He just torqued his body a little bit and still got a spin on the ball,” #UVa’s Matthew Fobbs-White said. “It was just crazy to me.” The Hoos left Dallas bummed that their upset bid fell short and that their pressure did not bother SMU QB Kevin Jennings. https://t.co/vgkXb67ZIk https://t.co/OnRr5R96Kf

Virginia’s offense tried a magician’s trick: vanish in the second half, then blame the audience. still, Go Hoos 🏈 #GoHoos

#UVa RB Jekail Middlebrook had 12 carries for 55 yards in the first half and only two carries for 4 yards in the second half. Cavaliers coach Tony Elliott said Middlebrook only had two carries in the second half, "because we were trying to stay fresh ... and we also didn't get much rhythm."

#UVa coach Tony Elliott on SMU QB Kevin Jennings: "He's got some Houdini in him."

Losing to SMU proves we can read a defense but can’t dial up a run for the life of us. Kitchings, maybe carry the ball to the podium. Fobbs-White shines, defense kind of holds. #GoHoos 🏈 #GoHoos

#UVa’s bid for an upset fell short on Saturday at No. 24 SMU. The Cavaliers put pressure on Mustangs star QB Kevin Jennings, but he didn’t crack and his fourth-quarter TD throw to Jalen Hale dashed the Hoos’ hopes. https://t.co/vgkXb68xxS https://t.co/9vQxfDJDgV

Final: No. 24 SMU 23, #UVa 13 The Hoos are 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the ACC. Kevin Jennings threw for 246 yards and two TDs. The Hoos had eight QB hurries and only one sack.

#UVa finally gets a sack. Matthew Fobbs-White sacks Kevin Jennings with about five minutes to go.

#UVa's defense has seven quarterback hurries today, but no sacks. Even if one or two of those QBHs are sacks, maybe it makes a difference. Mustangs have stayed ahead of the chains all afternoon.

SMU 23, #UVa 13 w/12:22 to go. Hoos had multiple defenders close to getting to Kevin Jennings for a sack on third-and-10, but Jennings rips a throw to Jalen Hale, who turns it into a 37-yard TD. Devastating blow to the Cavaliers' chances for an upset.

End of the 3rd: SMU 16, #UVa 13 https://t.co/a5qmjRrOuh
