Jay Sawvel had a list of five things he needed to see from his team during the final six games of the regular season. Wyoming went 5-for-5 against Northern Illinois. 1. No turnovers ✅ 2. Outgain the opponent ✅ 3. Third downs ✅ 4. Less than 40 penalty yards ✅ 5. Better touchdown rate in the red zone ✅ "When we came back from North Dakota after that game, there were a lot of guys that were playing tight. Tyler (Hughes) was one of those guys," Sawvel said. "A lot of those guys have now taken that 30-pound backpack and cast it off of them. "We've got some guys just playing loose and free right now." https://t.co/vHblOqGjuN

"We've had a very tough past six weeks, and the guys did a really good job of coming in and preparing and not letting the outside noise affect what we have inside these buildings. "We put together a great week of practice, and we came out and executed the best we have all year. ... When you win, it changes a lot of things. That locker room, everybody's super excited and fired up and just ready for the next opportunity." -Tyler Hughes after Wyoming's 41-23 win over Northern Iowa at the War https://t.co/G7H8EvSSca
