Chiefs have indeed placed RB Brashard Smith (hamstring) on injured reserve. They have signed RB Jadyn Ott to the roster in his place. WR Justin Watson has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed is not traveling with the team Saturday for personal reasons, but he will join the team in Seattle later. Still listed as questionable with the knee.

Chiefs are planning to activate LB Cooper McDonald from injured reserve, which will fill out the roster at 53. If RB Brashard Smith needs to go on injured reserve, RB Jadyn Ott will likely take his spot on the 53. If not, Chiefs will use a practice squad elevation on Ott.

Omarr Norman-Lott doesn’t appear real close yet. Chiefs still haven’t opened his practice window, and I would expect him to take the full three weeks.

Chiefs have filled one of their two open roster spots with WR Andrew Armstrong signed from the practice squad. RB Nate Carter takes Armstrong’s slot on the practice squad. He was dropped for the addition of LB Aiden Fisher earlier this week, but now he’s back.

The Chiefs' placement of LT Josh Simmons on injured reserve is official, per the NFL transaction report. That leaves the Chiefs with two open roster spots on the 53. No word yet on possible promotions from the practice squad, but I would expect a move or two by Saturday.

The earliest Josh Simmons can return is Week 11 against the Cardinals on Nov. 22.

Chiefs head trainer Rick Burkholder said Josh Simmons still doesn't need surgery as part of his rehab & recovery from the bulging, herniated disc. "It was higher up than what we see in most of our offensive lineman," Burkholder said of Simmons' MRI.
