Harbaugh’s day-after Zoom call is scheduled for 3:30 pm. He needs to announce a starting QB then (if it doesn’t leak sooner). Whatever gamesmanship advantage could be gained by secrecy, they need to make the announcement — in either direction — with conviction. Feels like the locker room is in a bit of a delicate spot despite the surprising success early in the season. Managing this QB decision properly is important.

LT Andrew Thomas was surprised the spotter called for a concussion check Sunday vs. Saints. They called for it at the start of the following drive. He was lumbering from the groin injury he's dealing with. Giants decided to just keep him out. Thomas will see again this week if he can go. May need to rest at some point to assure he doesn't tear it completely and miss significant time.

Well, yeah. Jameis is hanging onto the starting job by a thread, if he hasn’t already lost it. As much as we applaud the accountability, it can be a slippery slope because people can start pointing out double standards. But with Skattebo, I think it’s important to recognize the fumbles were a trend. His fumble in the opener could have been a killer. That the ball luckily bounced right back to him doesn’t matter in the ball security department. He also hadn’t been effective. Zero carries was too severe but their backfield is a mess and it’s unwieldy to rotate four backs

I hate everything about the touchback rule with the new kickoff. But one loophole coaches haven’t consistently taken advantage of is having it only cost you five more yards to kick it OB. Used to be a much bigger deal when the difference was 20 to 40. Should be an easy call in the situation the Giants faced today
